Senior Infants visit Newgrange Farm

OFF

IMG_3003 (Small)All of the children had a great day on their school tour to Newgrange Farm. It was a very busy day and everyone was so tired afterwards!

We saw lots of animals on the farm- sheep, cows, pigs, horses, chickens, ducks, cats, rabbits and dogs. Everyone got to hold a kitten, pet a little puppy and hold a chick. We fed lambs from bottles and fed bread to the ducks.

We went on a tractor ride through the fields. The farmer told us all about his job and showed us where Goldilocks, The Three Bears, the Tooth Fairy and a leprechaun live! We saw the little leprechaun’s clothes hanging on the washing line but we didn’t find any gold! We saw wheat growing in the fields.

We had great fun playing on the farm too. We got to drive little tractors and played hide and seek in the hay bale maze. We dug in the sand pit and raced little boats and rubber ducks in the water play area!

We had a brilliant day! Have a look at some of the photos from our trip here.
