Special visitor to 2nd Class
OFF
We were very lucky in 2nd class to get a special visitor from Japan. She spoke to the children about the food, clothes, buildings, technology, the language and the way of life in Japan. Some children even got to dress up in beautiful kimonos. Miss Champkin dressed up in a kimono too! We learned how to say hello (konichiwa), goodbye (sayonara) and the names of some colours.
We also got a Japanese Torii in our school gardens. This is a traditional Japanese gate. Keep an eye out for it when you are near the back gate of the school.
