First Class Trip to Glanmore Foods Factory

OFF

The First Class children went on a school tour to Glanmore Foods Factory on Monday the 17th of June.

The children got to see the quality standards and care that goes into the preparation of their yummy lunches.
They had a fun filled day learning all about Glanmore. They watched a DVD and afterwards got ready for their tour around the factory. They put on a white coat, hair net, got their shoes cleaned and washed their hands before entering the busy factory.

They got to see all the production areas, the bakery, the pasta cooking room, the fruit preparation facility, the jelly manufacturing, the sandwich/roll preparation, the individual lunch packing and the very chilly freezer. They even got to knead their own dough!

They had an AMAZING day learning all about Glanmore and all the hard work that goes into each lunch bag. To top off the day Glanmore gave each child a goody bag with some delicious treats.

Thank you Glanmore for such a great day and Ms. Mac Munn for the delicious lunches we get everyday!
