commemorated the centenary of the 1916 Rising and celebrated 100 years since the Proclamation of the Irish Republic.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Scoil Mhuire Junior held a very special event outside the school,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">we\u00a0raised the National Flag, sang the National Anthem and read out the 1916 Proclamation.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The First Class children also read out information about the 1916 Rising and called out the names of the seven signatories who signed the Proclamation.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The seven signatories were\u00a0Thomas Clarke, Se\u00e1n Mac Diarmada, Joseph Plunkett,\u00a0James Connolly, Eamonn Ceannt, Thomas Mc Donagh and Padraig Pearse.<\/span><\/h3>\n<div style=\"width: 603px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video style=\"color: #000000;\">Mrs O&#8217;Doherty did a fantastic job reading out the 1916 Proclamation.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a celebrate our culture through music, dance, arts and our unique and beautiful language.
